THE BUCKET LIST – 4 WEEK INTERRAILING PACKAGE

So, are you looking for the dream interrailing package across Europe? Well, this package is the ultimate bucket list trip! During this epic four week trip, experience as many of the iconic European cities as possible. You will depart on your epic trail from London, before travelling north along the coast, with stop-offs in some truly amazing and unforgettable cities.

What stops are on this interrail route?

Amsterdam

What’s an interrail trip without the Dam? The capital of the Netherlands offers a truly unique experience for travellers, which is why it’s an interrailing favourite. In truth, there are more bikes than people in this city. Overall, Amsterdam is rich in history, some of Europe’s best museums and galleries are located here. In addition to this, the nightlife here will not disappoint. Maybe you fancy a few cosmos or to dance the night away. Or why not see the Red Light District in all its glory? There’s definitely something for every type of traveller. Kicking off interrailing across Europe the right way!

Berlin

Straightaway you will understand why Berlin is similar to New York, as it’s a city that never sleeps. Otherwise known as the lotus-eaters of Germany, the locals here love nothing more than a good time. However, don’t let this put you off as they have something for all age groups, budgets, and tastes. Not to mention, history will greet you at every corner. The city staged a revolution, was headquartered by Nazis, bombed to bits, divided in two and then finally, reunited,

Prague

Prague is similar to Paris in terms of its beauty and is nicknamed the “City of Spires”. Although, the beer is definitely better here! The Czech’s are famous for finding some of the world’s most popular brews. To begin, start the trip in the Old Town Square and see what amazing sights you can stumble upon down those cobbled streets. If you enjoy people watching, be sure to visit the Charles Bridge, one of the oldest bridges in Europe still in use.

Krakow

Krakow is an easy city to fall in love with. The large market squares, roaring nightlife, colourful streets, together with an abundance of budget-friendly restaurants are to name but a few reasons why travellers adore Krakow. Thousands visit the city every year with the aim to visit the poignant Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, which is unquestionably the most important trip to do while you’re here.

Budapest

The Hungarian capital has a charm that lies amongst the many cultural influences that have affected the city during its long history. With this in mind, it’s important to remember what the locals say, the past of this city is literally around every corner. During your time here, witness the bullet holes from WWII and the 1956 Uprising, not forgetting those poignant and famous shoes on the Danube memorial. The beautiful baths with healing properties and stunning architecture are enough reason to visit the “City of Spas”.

Ljublana

Every aspect of Ljubljana astounds more visitors every year. It is most definitely one of many hidden gems within Europe.! A city renowned for green space, beautiful bridges, and buildings. As well as dozens of different urban design elements such as lamposts, pillars, and pyramids. This makes the city even more visually appealing! By all means, Lake Bled needs to be on your attraction list, an Interrailing Packages favourite.

Split

The second largest city in Croatia has the perfect blend of modern life and natural history. For that reason, Split is one of Croatia’s popular spots and is always buzzing! Romans are responsible for putting Split on the map. Emperor Diocletian built his retirement palace here in the 4th century. Diocletian’s Palace is otherwise known as home to Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, for you GoT fans!

Rome

This stop will involve living your best life in the cosmopolitan capital of Italy. Rome undoubtedly has some of the best spots to visit due to the vast amount of world-renowned art collections, rich cultural heritage, and numerous archaeological treasures. Granted you may be looking for something off the beaten track on your trip? Fear not, as it’s a given that Rome will provide you with these types of experiences. So certainly lap up the dolce vita lifestyle. Idle around those picturesque streets coupled with taking a pitstop at those street side cafes, as this is what Rome is all about!

Florence

Visiting the undeniably, beautiful Florence is a must when interrailing across Europe. Straightaway you will take in the compact city in size, that is packed with extraordinary art and architecture masterpieces. Another key point about Florence is that the fashion industry was born here. Homegrown fashion designer, Guccio Gucci (founder of the fashion house of Gucci), opened his first haute-couture boutique here in the 1920s. Shopping in the Tuscan capital has been stylish ever since!

Nice

The capital of the Alpes-Maritimes department on the French Riviera, Nice, which sits on the picturesque, pebbly shores of Baie des Anges (Bay of Angles). Situated at the foot of the Alps, Nice is the second-largest French city on the Mediterranean coast. During the day, take a walk along the Promenade des Anglais, which stretches over 2.5 miles. You will bump into all types of people, such as cyclists and skateboarders. As well as being filled with museums and beautiful cobbled streets, it is perfect for those Instagram worthy shots!

Paris

The last stop on the list to end your interrailing journey across Europe is, Paris. The city of love, it also has a lot to offer travellers. Without a doubt, Paris is the global centre for art, fashion, culture, and gastronomy. Don’t forget to visit the many famous landmarks such as Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées and watch the Eiffel Tower come alive at night with the phenomenal light show each night you’re there.
