Get your golden ticket for this interrail route today!

  • Paris

The first stop on the list is Paris, you will spend 2 nights here at the beginning of the trip and 2 nights at the end of the trip before heading on the Eurostar back to London. Given that Paris is the city of love, it also has a lot to offer travellers. Without a doubt, Paris is the global centre for art, fashion, culture, and gastronomy. Don’t forget to visit the many famous landmarks such as Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées and watch the Eiffel Tower come alive at night with the phenomenal light show each night you're there.
  • Nice

Next up, the second stop on your interrailing route will be in the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes department on the French Riviera, Nice, which sits on the picturesque, pebbly shores of Baie des Anges (Bay of Angles). Situated at the foot of the Alps, Nice is the second-largest French city on the Mediterranean coast. During the day, take a walk along the Promenade des Anglais, which stretches over 2.5 miles. You will bump into all types of people, such as cyclists and skateboarders.
  • Florence

Obviously, Florence is one of the most charming cities in Italy. Filled with a rich history, stunning architecture, and art. Although Florence may not be one of the first cities that comes to mind when you think of Italy, it's one of the calmer cities to visit. Another key point about Florence is that the fashion industry was born here. Homegrown fashion designer, Guccio Gucci (founder of the fashion house of Gucci), opened his first haute-couture boutique here in the 1920s. Shopping in the Tuscan capital has been stylish ever since!
  • Rome

This stop on your interrail route involves living your best life in the cosmopolitan capital of Italy. Rome undoubtedly has some of the best spots to visit due to the vast amount of world-renowned art collections, rich cultural heritage, and numerous archaeological treasures. Granted you may be looking for something off the beaten track on your trip? Fear not, as it’s a given that Rome will provide you with these types of experiences. So certainly lap up the dolce vita lifestyle. Idle around those picturesque streets coupled with taking a pitstop at those street side cafes, as this is what Rome is all about!
  • Venice

Given that you’re visiting a city built on water, it is crucial that you take a gondola ride to go back in time and appreciate the rich beauty of this city. Venice holds on to an extraordinary amount of history that dates back 1000 years. The architecture, palaces filled with art and idyllic canals are not to be missed!
  • Ljubljana

After that, the sixth city on this interrail route is minimalistic and one of Europe’s greenest capitals, Ljubljana in Slovenia. A photogenic and lively city means you don’t always need a long list of attractions to visit as it’s easier to stroll around and explore at your leisure. Dragon’s are the symbol of the city so be sure to count as many as you see at once! Not to mention, the stunning Lake Bled requires a visit before continuing on your interrail route. Definitely a hidden gem in the world.
  • Budapest

The beautiful Hungarian capital has a charm that lies amongst the many cultural influences that have affected the city during its long history. With this in mind, it’s important to remember what the locals say, the past of this city is literally around every corner. During your time here, witness the bullet holes from WWII and the 1956 Uprising, not forgetting those poignant and famous shoes on the Danube memorial.
  • Prague

Prague is equal to Paris in terms of beauty and is nicknamed the “City of Spires”. Although, the beer is definitely better here as the Czech’s are famous for finding some of the world’s most popular brews. To begin, start the trip in the Old Town Square and see what amazing sights you can stumble upon down those cobbled streets.
  • Berlin

Straightaway you will understand why it is compared to New York, as it’s a city that never sleeps. Otherwise known as the lotus-eaters of Germany, the locals here love nothing more than a good time. However, don’t let this put you off as they have something for all age groups, budgets, and tastes. Not to mention, history will greet you at every corner! The city staged a revolution, headquartered by Nazis, bombed to bits, divided in two and then finally, reunited.
  • Amsterdam

The penultimate stop before heading back to Paris for a few days is none other than the capital of the Netherlands. In truth, there are more bicycles than people in this city. Amsterdam offers a unique experience, therefore it has to be on your itinerary. You may only have three nights here to experience as much of the rich culture of the Dam as you possibly can, so make sure you squeeze in a visit to Anne Frank House and the Red Light District! A great way to end this Golden Ticket interrail route!
