Booking Process

 

PRE-SALES & SERVICES

The InterRailingPackages Team are available on the telephone for you weekdays 9am-5:30pm & via email 8am-9pm 7 Days a week. We encourage all our clients to use our vast travel experience to assist you in not only planning your trip or creating a customised itinerary but also to help with arranging flights or train tickets to your first and last cities. 

We can advise you on all aspects of your trip from itinerary and travel advice, to currency, insurance & excursions.

Flights are not included as part of the package but we can assist you by researching your cheapest / best options. We can also book Eurostar tickets if that would be your preferred way to travel, providing it is a suitable option for your trip.


REMEMBER our trips are completely independent & flexible and can begin on any date which suits you - simply select your dates when checking out.

 If you are unable to confirm the departure date at the time of booking, this is not a problem: simply select a date close to your intended departure - we will re-confirm your departure date via our customer form after you book (see below).

 


HOW TO BOOK

At Interrailingpackages we believe in keeping things as easy and straightforward as possible for our clients. That is why we have developed our unique 4 Step Booking Process to assist you.

The Register-Select-Process-Book process, takes you step-by-step through our website so you know exactly where you are being directed to, what you need to do to proceed, and what the next step is. 



REGISTER: In order to assist you with booking your trip, you first need to register your account on the website. We require only basic data to register: Name, E-mail Address & Password. By creating your account you can save products to your wish list & sign up for our newsletter. Your account is also where you will access your order details later and make your payments on deposit paid orders. To register simply go to our homepage and click “Register” in the top left corner of your screen.


SELECT: Now that you have registered you just need to pick a suitable product from our range of 2, 3 & 4 Week Hotel and Hostel options. During high season the package prices may increase, however we will guarantee that this will not affect any clients who have already booked / paid a deposit. Early booking is advisable.


PROCESS: Now that you have selected your product you must begin processing the order by making the various selections from the options provided. Select the number of travellers, the ages of travellers at the time of trip and your room type. For those wanting to book separately but travel as part of a group of friends simply make the relevant selection and then add the details of your fellow travellers in the order notes on the payment page.

Next select your departure date. Don’t worry if you are not able to commit to this specific date yet as we will confirm your departure date after receipt of your order. Finally you have the option to pay in full or by instalment. Our instalment option lets you pay 25% of the amount due as a deposit for the trip. You then have until 6 weeks before your trip to log back into your account and clear the balance. You will receive detailed instructions on how to do this after we receive your booking. Click Book!

 

BOOK: Finally you are directed towards our check-out page, the last stage in your booking process. Here we confirm the amount due and the trip details. Once you are happy with this click “Proceed to Checkout” and you will be directed to the payment page. The Payment Page provides you with an area to complete your full address details and your payment information. Here you can pay safely & securely via Sagepay, using a range of options including Mastercard Credit/Debit, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, American Express, Maestro and Solo. Remember to complete your information in full and when you are happy click “Place Order Now”. Allow the system a few moments to process your order and once everything is confirmed you will automatically receive a booking receipt & order number. YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS!!

 

 

AFTER BOOKING

Within 48 hours the customer is sent a form for completion. This Customer Form must be filled out in full to show your full name (as per passport), date of birth, passport number and departure date confirmation.

On receipt of your completed customer form, InterrailingPackages will begin to make all your bookings and arrangements for your trip.

Within 3-4 weeks (timeline can vary depending on when you book and when your trip departure date is) you will receive an email providing you with access details for your E-Travel Pack, as well as guidance on how to download the InterrailingPackages App and access instructions for your city maps.

Your E-Travel Pack accessed via our App will include:

 

  • Trip Itinerary – Details of your accommodations, dates of departure and detailed train itinerary.
  • Hotel/Hostel Directions – Directions to your accommodation from your arrival station to include train/bus stop nearest your accommodation and walking directions to the door;
  • Help & Advice doc – General Travel Advice and guidance for Interrailers as well as some Travel Tips.
  • Discounts Doc – We have a number of partners to provide our travellers with discounts on everything from City Walking Tours to City Sightseeing Bus Tours, Travel Insurance and Mobile Pocket Wifi!
  • City Guides – Individual guides for the cities you will visit, along with suggested places to visit & things to do.
  • Reservations doc – This document will provide you with detailed instructions, help and advice on how to make any reservations for your trip.
  • Currency Guide & Basic Language / Phrase Guide.
  • Currency Order Form & Fairfx Currency Card Order Form.

 

At this time you will also again receive our Terms & Conditions (previously read and agreed prior to booking), Invoice and Balance Payment Instructions doc (if a deposit has been made and full payment has yet to be received).

Balance payment should be made 4-6 weeks before your departure date. Currency orders should be placed no later than 2 Weeks before you depart for your trip.

Once full payment has been made your rail passes will be ordered and will be posted out directly to you via recorded delivery. Any other tickets (ferry/bus etc) that are required for your trip will also be sent at this time.

If you have not received your Interrail Passes less than 2 weeks before your trip PLEASE CONTACT US.

At this stage a finalised itinerary will be added to your E-Travel pack App to include any possible train / transport changes and you will also be issued with your finalised invoice.

 


DURING YOUR TRIP

Once your trip begins we don’t just leave you to fend for yourself! InterRailingpackages are always keeping you up to date with any changes along the way - including train schedule changes and any travel news that may affect you.

We offer a 24-Hour Emergency Contact Number providing our customers with emergency assistance no matter the time or place.

We will send you a Feedback form after you return from your trip – we appreciate all the feedback you can give us on all aspects of your trip from accommodation and trains to your experience in dealing with our company.  Your feedback is important to us and our partners.
